Jay Fury/ Jerrelle Clark defeated Steve Madison/ Erick Stevens
Jay Fury-Jerrelle Clark defeated Erick Stevens-Steve Madison in a no-DQ match. This was just insane. There was no blood or thumbtacks or anything of that nature. Instead they just threw each other through a multitude of chairs and just beat the shinola out of each other. Most of the bout was brawling on the outside of the ring. Two of the guys even put a dent into one of the wooden walls of the building! Damn. In the ring both guys used some sweet-ass double-team moves. The ending came when a pile of chairs was thrown into the ring, and after some "heel miscommunication" Stevens ended up in the steel chairs… twice. For going farther and being more madcap than I thought, along with the intensity and the punishment all four guys took, I have to put this in the "great" category.

Notes:
Here is some more from the no DQ tag match, which I can't say enough about. It really took me by surprise with how intense and brutal it got.
To give but one example of the nuttiness of the bout, Stevens powerbombed Fury onto the ring apron. Ouch!
After the bout Madison and Stevens were pissed at each other for the "heel miscommunication". They acted like they were going to fight, but eventually they kissed and made up... I'm speaking figuratively about the "kissing" stuff, before anyone gets any "queer" ideas.

Florida Rumble
The Florida Rumble: It was won by Jimmy Rave, who continuously avoided elimination to win it all. I won't get into the details of the bout, like who was eliminated when, but you can figure some of that out by the rest of the matches I list for the show. Just note that the first two guys out were Jerrelle Clark and Azrieal. Azrieal and Adam Pearce were the first two eliminated, thus they got FIP Tag Team Title shots at the Heartbreak Express. Clark lasted to the very end with Rave and Bryan Danielson. Some parts of the bout were rough, but overall it was fine for a match that was similar to a Royal Rumble. One nice thing was that Milano Collection AT put a half Boston Crab… on two guys at the same time, and then did the deal where he intricately ties an opponent in the ropes in order to put him in position for a dropkick. I've only seen three AT matches before (if you don't consider this to be an official bout), and I already think the guy's cool; it is certainly a nice gift to have 2 out of the 3 contests be live and in person.

Bryan Danielson defeated Jerrelle Clark
Bryan Danielson (w/ Dave Prazak) defeated Jerrelle Clark. The facial expressions-actions of both Danielson and Prazak were just uproarious. Danielson did a great job of playing a chickenshit heel… then again Danielson does everything greatly, including beards… and speaking of that, he's starting to grow one again. Yay! Going back to the "Ivan" look, so to speak. Both guys worked over bodyparts, so I enjoyed that… eventually Danielson was over Jerrelle's knee like a hawk, and the ending to this pretty good bout was Bryan having Jerrelle in a figure four leglock, but having to hold in ropes in order for Clark to tap out. Oh, what a dishonorable heel. Oh, and in a trend that has become more common in this state, Danielson's trunks were pulled down for almost a minute!

In a that also included the teams of Aaron Epic/Kahagas, Pretty Fly/Heater, and Jacob & Jeremiah, the last two teams remaining were Fast N Furious (Jay Fury/Jerrelle Clark) and Wrongful Death (Naphtali/Dagon Briggs), which led to:
Wrongful Death w/ Seven upended Fast N Furious after some shady double team maneuvers by Death. Naphtali and Briggs were not through, though, as they kept beating on their opponents after the match, until Double Deuce made the save and challenged Wrongful Death to a match January 14th.
