Jerrelle Clark vs Jared Steel
Jerrelle Clark defeated Jared Steel. Since David Shirt wasn’t in attendance, Steel had no one to try and impress, but he still listened to the advice of a few fans. After a 2 count on Jerrelle, a fan (not the gringo) yelled, “Hook the tights you retard”. So, Steel rolled up Clark while hooking the tights, and it still didn’t work. I thought that was humorous, anyway. The bout itself was a good opener, as it got the crowd into things with Jerrelle’s high-flying. He won with a 630. Afterwards Jerrelle got attacked by the New Dawn (Punk, Azrieal, Samoa Joe, and Colt Cabana) and thrown out of the ring. They were on the mic saying various things, and out of nowhere Cabana talks about how the rest of the faction didn’t back him up in his bout with Homicide the night before. He left the faction, but not before getting choked by Joe.

Roderick Strong / Jerrelle Clark vs CM Punk / Azriel w/ Milo Beasley
CM Punk / Azriel w/ Milo Beasley defeat Roderick Strong / Jerrelle Clark Very old school style match that you would not be customed to seeing from 3 of the guys in this match. But I believed that they pulle dit off seemlessly. Punk and Clark start out with Punk playing the big bully when Clark gets the upperhand with his speed. Roderick comes in and takes over on Azriel as they go back and forth before Punk and Azriel get the advantage. Roderick hits the double knee gutbuster and tags in Clark who comes in cleaning house. As Clark goes for the pin, Milo pulls the ref out of the ring. Clark and Strong give chase as Milo jumps out of his wheelchair and is caught, but before they can lay hands to him, Punk cuts off Clark and holds him for Azriel to make a dive. Clark gets free as Azriel lays out Punk. Clark hits a plancha and tries to suplex Azriel in as Punk pulls his feet out from under him and holds them down while the ref makes the 3 count.

20 man Gauntlet for #1 contendership
Abyss won the gauntlet to become the #1 contender and challenge at Slammiversary for the title
At #11, Lance Hoyt ran to the ring to a major pop. The "Hoyt" signs flew up ringside as he proceeded to press slam Eric Young right out of the ring. Hoyt went to work on Bobby Roode then screamed out to his supportive fans. Sabin and Petey went to work on each other as Hoyt tried to drop A-1 to the floor. At #12, Michael Shane entered the ring and went right after Hoyt. Shane delivered a super kick to the mouth on Hoyt then found a very upset Chris Sabin. Sabin, allowing his frustrations to get the better of him, clotheslined Shane and himself over the top rope to the floor. Sabin pounded the snot out of Shane even after being eliminated while back in the ring, Team Canada eliminated Siaki off the apron. Meanwhile, Sabin and Shane battled ringside all the way to the back. Jerrelle Clark entered the match as #13 and scored a double cross body splash on Team Canada members Petey and Roode. Clark caught A-1 with a springboard leg drop then was attacked from behind by Bobby Roode. Petey set up Clark for the Canadian Destroyer and, with assistance from Roode and A-1, hit the most spectacular Canadian Destroyer I've ever seen, causing Clark to flip himself over the top rope to the outside. Nice spot!

vs. Mikey Batts FL X Division Title match
Mikey Batts defeated Jerrelle Clark to retain his title.
I thought this match was a bit of a disappointment as this wasn't one of Batts' best performances. He was definitely off tonight. Clark looked good with his moveset though. There just seemed to be far too many miscommunication problems in this match that hindered it. To their credit, what was good was really good. It just seemed like there was enough things wrong that I couldn't really get into the match. I'm definitely calling for a rematch sometime soon as I know that these two are capable of having some solid matches. Batts picked up the win when he hit his version of the Code Red. Even that looked awkward, as Batts appeared to be falling to the side as they were flipping over. Yeah well, it happens.
